I know a 23 y/o guy, who is very mature for his age, works hard and is very passionate about his work. To look at him you would automatically think he is at least 35. He plays in a brass band, his CD collection consists of SOngs of praise, Choir boys, bell ringing and some other weird stuff. Does anyone else think this is strange for someone of this age? He is not religious by the way.

He sounds gay.

Real men are immature so at 35 would behave like a 23 year old.

Hey be nice!

Each to their own - he probaly just has a sensitive side!

Hes not gay.
Oh behave will you....It's called being an individual.... Does any one tell you ;how to dress, what music to listen to, who to talk to or what to eat? I'm glad you only said you 'know him' and didn't say that you're his friend....because one things for sure....he doesn't need friends like you, who would ridicule him for his tastes infornt of a load of strangers!

Lisa

well i would make sure i didnt drop my pen in front of him

Looks like Divegirl missed her extra hours sleep...chill out, I have known him a while and he knows his tastes are odd, but Im worried about him that's all, .i agree, each to his own, but I know and work with guys this age and all of them go out on the town, clubbing, own ipods and love dance music etc......he is a sensitive soul and a really lovely guy.
thank god there is still some individuality in this world, people who like the things they like because they like them, not because someone else tells them to like them. What a strange question ... what will you do with the answers? If everyone says its weird, will you not be his friend anymore?
lol i expect i'll be told to get a life now, but why are you worried about him? Because he dosent have an ipod?

I wonder how many of those men you know who go out clubbing really really enjoy it? I personally cant like clubbing and dance music, but dont find it starnge/worry about those people that do
i dont have an ipod dont see the point in them myself
Hi, I've had plenty of sleep, thanks for your concern tho. I just don't see what the problem is.....He does his own thing....so what? The whole point of life is that we are all different....that's what makes it interesting. Unless he has come to you and specifically asked for your help, I'd guess he's happy. You said yourself that he's a lovely guy....so why worry....leave him be.

Lol, it isnt good stereotyping people into categories of what they should like/dislike but we all do it, human nature. I collect milk bottle tops and make mobiles and models out of them to give to charity shops, that's not weird.
I'm 46 and I'd imagine that a lot of people don't approve of my jeuvenile side which is still in full control thanks very much. My own music collection consists of amongst other things Curved Air, Eminem, David Bowie,The Pogues, Liszt, Inkkubus Sukkubus,Christy Moore and the Pussycat Dolls.... I reckon that's enough to get me sectioned.
I've always been a child and I hope to always be immature BUT by contrast my son Danny has always been old for his age since he was 12 or so and has been happily settled with his boyfriend for nearly 2 years and they are thinking of adopting a child as they are so committed and established since they don't enjoy pubbing and clubbing and all of the things that other early 20's lads do. Each to their own, your man doesn't sound particularly weird, so don't analyse him so much, everyone is different.
he is gay!!! or...........
and what the f.ck would be wrong even if he was gay?

i know a lad who is 19, was a total rogue, used to drink heavily, take drugs...and sleep around, go to raves ect...
he's now out of the blue knocked it on the head and become a jahova's witness....all he does is read the bible and stay indoors, some might say thats wierd but i think good luck to him if thats how he wants to live his life...
He isnt breaking any laws or harming anyone he is just doing what he enjoys, just because most other people dont do it doesnt make it wrong xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Roughquest.....looks like the answer is no....we don't find him strange..... you on the other hand......!!!!?

Divegirl - you need to rethink your answer both Zorro and Agent Smith no what Im on about..lol, like i said before chill out you take things too seriously, its no big deal, i like him the way he is its just unusual, he himself has said that to me......none of us are normal at the end of the day and like i said before its human nature to 'follow the fold and do as everyone would like us to' but we are all individuals.
Thought you dumped him hehe!
As they say - there's nothing so queer as folk
not a gay reference btw!
so why do you find it "odd" ?
Really don't understand why you have such a problem with my answers...Zorro and Agent Smith 'no' what you are on about!!!! Big deal...Agent Smith does sometimes show signs of intelligent life....As for Zorro? Well sorry Zorro, but he doesn't exactly offer the most helpful answers....funny, yes....helpful....no. it would seem that most people agree with my attitude of living your life as an individual.....but for some reason you seem to have to have a go at my answers...... As for taking life too seriously.... I think not. Anyway must go....missing Songs of Praise.......
