Am i the only person in the world who remembers the Wee Papa Girl Rappers?
They had a couple of minor hits in the mid to late 80's.
If i remember correctly, their first single was a mind-numbing "rap song" called wee-rule.

dross.
push it was another annoying one with similarly vacuous lyrics!
Question Author
wasn't "push it" by Salt and Pepper?
salt and pepa - yeh

wee papa girl rappers - i remember them....unfortunately !they were around at the time of tyhe house explosion in the late 80's.

sadly i can even remember lyrics !

wee rule in a brand new fashion in a dance hall style wee rule !

dear oh dear oh dear
"Push It" was indeed by Salt and Pepper.
i stand corrected. the pain must have obscured the memory , thats my excuse! ;-)
"Wee Rule" actually doesn't sound that bad now. Their album "The Beat the Rhyme The Noise" was pretty good, they used big name producers like Teddy Riley, Kevin Saunderson and Jeremy Healy (well, they were big names back then!). They later tried a comeback as Wee Papa Girls, which flopped badly.
Sorry to be a pedant but it was Pepa not Pepper and it was in fact Salt N Pepa to be really pedantic.

The WPGR were alright in a poppy kinda way and there were a couple of good remixes of their tunes aswell.
Thank christ they died of death....
