can anyone tell me who first sang Making Whoopi and what was the film in which it was sung

"Makin Whoopee" was the signaure tune of Eddie Cantor. It made it's first appearance on screen in the 1930 film "Whoopee" starring Cantor, although by that time he was already using the song extensively in his stage act.
