weve just been learning about russian communism and we came across these radical song lyrics When adam delved and eve span who then was the gentleman? does any one know the rest of the lyrics oh and maybe a decent folk song website ive struggled to find one.ta.

The couplet is most famous for being the title of the sermon John Ball gave to the disafftected during the Peasants Revolt in 1381. It may be older than that though. There do not seem to be any further lyrics attached to the original couplet, but Dr Strangely Strange (a progressive folk rock band a la Fairport Convention) recorded a song called "When Adam Delved" in 1970.
