My I-pod has gone funny? The battery went so I recharged it as normal (it still has a battery life of about 9hours before it needs charging I think) but it comes up with the apple symbol and if you listen closely to the unit it is making a clicking/turning noise from inside and then a symbol with a folder and ' ! ' appear on the screen and it switches off. I have put the drivers on again and re-added my music but it still refuses to work. Any ideas?

This happened to my friends ipod, the apple symbol came up and then a folder with a yellow exclamation mark but theres wasnt any clicking noise. All you need to do is reset it. Hopefully this will be of help: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705
My daughters, and her friends did this and I just connected it to the laptop, went on the apple web and reset it as instructed, easy peasy, especially as I am not technically minded at all!!!!!
