Hi Andy, yes indeed, I’m not into heavy rock but gotta say I did like Whitesnake
That's really sad news. I used to live in the same small Bucks village as Bernie and his family and obviously often met in passing. Bernie devised our very own rock concert, Party in the Paddock, 2004, 5 and 8 if I remember correctly. A mixture of local and top rock bands including the likes of Roger Daltry and the Who. Our village church had "talent day" once where I played guitar with my two kids singing. A couple of acts later Bernie did the same with his two girls. Sadly for me they chose the same folk song. The quality of guitar work was rather obvious:). Bernie was a genuinely nice bloke. Very sad news.
he played the Brum town hall pre-covid, and a mate managed to talk to him, very nice guy, he said!

He was a charming man.

Last time I interviewed him, he was kind enough to invite me to his house to view and chat about his enviable guitar collection.

Sadly, because of distance and other commitments, I was never able to take him up on his kind offer.
