Dire Straits are one of those bands that started out superb, epic, wonderful and then just fizzled out. Sad really.
The other was UB40. Brill to terrible in the space of 5 albums.

no doubt there's a few bands like that Gromit, suffering from the commercial pressure to put out another LP.
