For Mr King, because he'll like the music (vintage Stones with a Willie Dixon tune.)

For Calico, because I know she'll appreciate the dance.

It's a classic, Lady B.
The Rambert have done a whole lot of different takes on Stones' tunes.
Fabulous!

I've concluded that Mick Jagger ought to resurrect his harmonica playing, because he always was an excellent player.

As far as the ballet is concerned, I've concluded that I couldn't look that cool if I lived to be a thousand!!!
Calico; how long have you been using the 'I'm loving it' rather than 'I love it'? Is it from Mac adverts?
Superb Builder - thanks for that.
"I've concluded that Mick Jagger ought to resurrect his harmonica playing, because he always was an excellent player."

He didn't play on this track, though, though he did mime it on the Ed Sullivan show. The harp was all Brian Jones.
great stuff. Takes me back to when the Stones were a blues group - in fact I believe this is still the only blues song to get to #1?

Ah... late arrivals.
Glad you all enjoyed it. It's interesting; although The Stones are obviously accessible, modern dance tends to frighten people to death.

It's rather like art appreciation (especially modern art). I find that the way to approach it, is with an open mind. Just lay back and go with it.
See if it does anything for you, however minor.

Anyway, a brilliant idea to pair a classic track with a contemporary dance company. It's re-invention that keeps everything fresh after all :o)

^^^ ... having said that, I'd pay good money to see Andy Hughes' pas-de-deux ...... as it were ;o)

I'm sure we can come to some arrangement … er not now not now, schtum, schtum, (apologies to Sir (!) Michael Palin).
I have watched it again - and the rooster move is just incredible - he makes it look so effortless, but I bet it's not!!
