I'm a bit stuck on some of the answers to these questions about the initials of pop songs, all containing girls or boys names.
BBB 1981
HM 1983
HP 1961
MOM 1982
MTM 1982
Thanks if you can help

Hi can I suggest you re-post in Quizzes & Puzzles, you will probably get more help there
^ sorry, that's wrong.
These must be very obscure!
Best I can come up with, although originally released in 1968, Hello Mabel by The Bonzo Dog Band, was on a Best of album released in 1983.
1961 - Hey Paula by Paul and Paula

Hey, hey Paula, I want to marry you
Hey, hey Paula, no one else will ever do
I've waited so long for school to be through
Paula, I can't wait no more for you
My love, my love
Hey Paul, I've been waiting for you
Hey, hey, hey Paul, I want to marry you too
If you love me true, if you love me still
Our love will always be real
My love, my love
True love means planning a life for two
Being together the whole day through
True love means waiting and hoping that soon
Wishes we've made will come true
My love, my love
Hey, hey Paula, I've been waiting for you
Hey, hey, hey Paul, I want to marry you too
True love means planning a life for two
Being together the whole day through
True love means waiting and hoping that soon
Wishes we've made will come true
My love, my love
HM- name was a new testament book
MTM in 1983 was a modern version of a very old song.
^ by 'old' I mean pre-WW2
1981 black pudding bertha
no it's not ^
There was a BBB song from a Disney film from well before 1981 but I can't think of a 1981 version
And there was Big Bill blues in 1927 if anyone covered that in 1981!
And there was Destiny's Child's "Bills Bills Bills" but that was much later than 1981
Off to work now but will think about the BBB one. Hope the clue is right.
I can think of lots of BBB songs but none fit the criteria- Boom Boom Boom, Bye Bye Baby, Burn Baby Burn, Bills Bills Bills
I also thought of Hey Paula, but when I Googled it, it said that it was released in 1962
There is also this BBB song but it was well before 1981!

I've been pondering this one all day and just can't think of anything that meets the criteria. I wonder if all the details are right?
Bette Davis Eyes was 1981 if the OP has mistyped it.
Bye Bye Barbara was well before 1981 but maybe someone knows another one.
Did Bobby Brown or Betty Boo do songs with their own names in the title?
Hopefully Naugtycheat will remember to come back to AB to look in and confirm that the clue is right for the first one and that the other hints and answers have been helpful. I keep thinking of other BBB songs- there have been quite a lot over the years - good alliteration I suppose.
I've been singing Bad Bad Boy, Boom Boom Boom, Boys, Boys Boys, Bye Bye Baby, Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo and Bills Bills Bills all day.
I was just checking in to see if the OP had checked back in or if anyone solved the BBB one yet. I remember Bye Bye Bye by Nsync to- but much later than 1981 and no names are involved in the title
