TBH the EU are unlikely to accept it anyway so surely the PM must see it's a non starter.

She will amend it to suit the requirements of the EU.

not if 80 of her own party vote it down she wont.
They will not allow a vote on it a Conference.
The agenda is strictly controlled by the men in grey suits, and any item that could lead to a party split will not make it to debate.

DannyK is correct. The EU will reject the Chequers plan, and May will bend to their way.
Surely if May makes any further concessions to the EU they will also be voted down. No Deal is looking more and more likely by the day.
Th EU expects us to cough up a divorce payment before any trade deal will even be considered.

Has May made ANY concessions to the EU ?

The EU will almost certainly reject the Chequers proposals precisely because it did not address any of the EU’s concerns.

The Conservative party has been split over Europe for 50 years. No leader will ever get them all to agree on Brexit, and she has quite rightly given up trying to do so.
"The Conservative party has been split over Europe"

And so are labour. Europe has never been a party issue.

The Chequers plan is a disaster, Treason May has to go.
But she has been shmoozing the Brexit MPs and EU leaders so she is confident she can get it through.
Not according to the latest news. There are a number of MP's who have sworn to vote down any deal involving Chequers.
The only way she will get the Chequers deal through, provided the EU accept it (unlikely), is with the help of Labour votes, and I can't see them coming in by the barrowload.
I think it is time that May realised chequers is dead in the water
Didn’t you read my post?

She’s been shmoozing Brexit MPs and EU leaders and is confident of a deal....
Did you read mine at 14.06?
Yes but she is shmoozing Brexit MPs and EU leaders so is confident of a deal....... ;-)
She doesn't appear to be having much success.
She is in for a rude awakening. Boris (Brutus)is solidly behind her, dagger at the ready.
Given that no one (much) finds it acceptable I figure it's one of two possible scenarios. a) She is, indeed, willing to cross more red lines to go down as the one who achieved a deal, no matter the cost, or b) She's planning on the no-deal and being able to say she did her utmost to get a deal, so failure to achieve one is not down to her.
Her cunning plan is working Barnier has said they can sign off on a deal by October with a full EU council meeting by mid Nov.

My though is any deal the EU is happy with is probably the death knell of a true and useful Brexit.

Apprently, Boris is now saying May's brexit plan is 'worse than status quo'.

I think that's a little harsh, although I have to say they were never the same after Alan Lancaster left.
