Bought the first season on DVD, have watched the first episode about the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico which set things off to a good start, but tried watching tonight the second episode which seemed to consist of little more than everyone shouting at one another in the confines of an office, which I aborted half way through.
Does it get any better? Does it ever leave that office?

I think you may have been sucked into the product selling cycle.
The key is not to waste your time and money.
After the first season any single issue prog is going to struggle.
I think it is a brilliant show. Have got the boxed set of three series and was really upset when it finished. Have watched it many times and will continue to do so. Aaron Sorkin is a brilliant writer. Hang on in there,
I agree with Bakers Dozen. Give it another chance.
I hope it does as i bought all three seasons a few weeks ago and haven't got around to watching it yet.

West Wing, Aaron Sorkins masterpiece didn't flag after 7 seasons, brilliant to the end.

But does it ever go out on location, or is it always in that office environment, with everyone shouting at high speed?
I thought Emily Mortimer (English, and John's daughter) was over-acting a bit, does she calm down?
