Been raining constantly for 18 hours now, stuck indoors all day.

Hi Islay, constant with the occasional heavy drop, between 1" & 2" forecast so a good soaking rain.
Don't get many floods where I am, usually dry.
Best rain in 8 months.

Looking at the weather today's plan is going to have to be changed. It's supposed to be the official launch of the Cotswold Boatmobility electric wheelyboat at Stroud today. I'll check later, but with the weather report I can't see it going ahead.

No use braving adverse elements, fingers crossed a lovely sunny day will appear soon Boaty.

Reckon it will be very popular, getting people on the canal that usually cant, they will love it.

We have storm Brian due in today but it will be a wimp compared to what we put up with at the start of the week, still my roof is all repaired now.
Think I will make a move - still off work so may take the dogs round the village and then go for a swim.

It's already in use and is very popular. The looks on the faces of people who never thought they would be able to get on the water and steer a boat makes it all worth it.

Sad day for some downunder, our last car manufacturing plant closed today. Guess we will have to import soft plastic cars now ;-/

On a better note, assisted euthanasia passed the lower house debate in Victoria, one day we may not have to watch loved ones suffer a slow and painful death.
