Newish song and I've been trying like mad to catch the lyrics but I can't make them out :( It features a Boney M-sounding male voice and there's a catchy violin tune played in between the choruses. TIA

Where have you heard it bonbon21- the name of the radio station might give us a clue to the type of music

Spanish radio station, playing current Top 40 and similar. The only lyrics I could pick out were "Shake, shake ???"

Thanks for that - excellent link. I'll go through those that I'm uncertain of and come back tomorrow to let you know.
Is it sung in English or Spanish?

English but they mumble a lot!
This one springs to mind

Pitbull. He has also had a song called Bonbon -maybe named after you.

Thanks, you really are trying hard but it's not that one. The violin part has an Irish sound to it somehow. It goes "da, da, da, da, da, da, diddle, diddle" although I doubt that helps!
I know it doesn't seem to be the one but here's the original version of this Shake Shake Shake Senora. This song ticks several boxes- it sounds like Boney M, the chorus says Shake Shake, it is Spanish and the Pitbull version features on Spanish top 40 radio currently.
It's the closest match I could find

Is this it perhaps?

Any progress on this, bonbon?

Thanks so much to both for trying but we're still not there! It's more of an Ibiza type of track and the violin part reminds me of Riverdance. He sounds as though he's saying "Shake, shake "modom"", and I guess the next line ends in "bottom".

I found it eventually - "Vivaldi and Sex" - not an Irish violin tune at all, sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase. At least I can now work out what they were actually saying too! Thanks for your time and effort, particularly Factor30 :) - much appreciated.

Glad you found it.
I now see what you mean about the Boney M type voice.
It hasn't troubled the charts in UK yet.
