Erm...Def Leppard in their hey day were a bit before my time, so was Joe Elliot from Sheffield, and singing with an American accent, or from America, singing with an American accent?

He was from Sheffield.
Surely that should read 'He IS from Sheffield' since he isn't dead (yet).

Don't most British singers sing with an American accent, though?

damon Albarn sings with a definite american accent...not

kempie if he is now living permanently in Colorado would that not be...'he was from sheffield'

I must intrude but if he was born in sheffield then regardless of where he lives now or in the future he will always be from sheffied therefore he is from sheffield

Yeah he is from Sheffield.

When Def Leppard made a big comeback in the 90's after the tragic loss of Steve Clark I always thought that they sounded a little like Bryan Adams, but then he's Canadian.
