Yes alba. It brought back happy memories for me. It came out in the year that I started "going out" with my husband.

I like watching Heartbeat for the music too. The days when music was music.
I avoided most punk music when it came along.

How are you Chrissa? Bearing up I hope xx
Morning alba and all,

Crazy Horses was one of the tunes payed in yesterday's Golden Hour On Wave FM and good to hear it along with Bowie's Jean Genie, T.Rex's Metal Guru, America's A Horse with No Name, Slade's Gudbye T' Jane etc..........what year do think that was?

I will put a link up, for a bit of fun to guess todays Golden Hour tunes for you all to listen and reminisce along too.....and guess the year.

More mature?.......anytime I host a retro gig playing 70's, 80's and 90's dance tunes and remember when I played them hot as promo's and acetates. :0)

Got Been throught the desert on a horse with no name, it's so good to get out of the rain' going through my napper now. Not complaining.

I never got Bowie when I was younger, but when I hit 24, wow, great:)
I'm ok alba, thanks for asking.
Seen America live twice alba.....and they are really great....lead singer Dewey Bunnell is a Brit. Tin Man and Ventura Highway are my faves from them.

Am now going to dig out a bundle of vinyls to see if there is an America LP in there and get one off me son's to get the old record player out of the attic. They'd better not have ruined the speakers.
I know I've got Bowie LP's in there.
You can't beat a bit of crackle from a vinyl. (Never got round to selling them)

Keep the chin up Chrissa xx Thinking of you. 2011 has been an absolute swine.
Little Jimmy Osmond - must be an OAP soon!
Just checked he was born in 1963 so nearly 50 - thought he was older, but realised he is the youngest Osmond brother.
Certainly an "annus horribilus" alba.

OI Ann, nuffink wrong with being born in 1963, but please, nearly 50. I really am going to sulk :)

2012 will be a recovery year Chrissa xx
Now that makes me feel old .. to remember that Little Jimmy Osmond is younger than me lol
But also "Now 80"

I can remember "Now that's what I call Music" coming out in the first place, although I'd be hard pressed to give the year
I was discussing my reading of a biography of George Harrison with my youngest daughter, and she asked me who George Harrison is!

I have to remind myself that there is a generation of music fans who may not automatically know about The Beatles - and that's a scary thought about me getting old!
I went in a record shop the other week to buy a Jimi Hendrix album. The assistant turned to her mate & said. "Who's Jimi Hendrix?" That made me feel old:-(
The fact that I work with people who don't remember a time before Madonna was having hits makes me feel old.
The thread on here the other day about it being twenty years since Freddie Mercury died made me feel old.
When I suggested my step-daughter get her dad a record voucher for his birthday, and she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Once I said HMV Giftcard, we were back on track.
