I can hear a very heavy sounding plane flying overhead. One good thing about me is my hearing. I wonder where the plane is heading?

Carrying Libyan Bank Notes?
do you not get many planes in the skies above you?
Moyra , Neti put this up, it's really good

'Heavy sounding' planes emit sound at low frequencies, which isn't much of a test of your hearing, Moyra! (It's the higher frequencies which oldies like me usually struggle with!)

Hopefully the aircraft will be taking happy holidaymakers to somewhere nice and sunny. Alternatively though, it might be taking servicemen away from their families for another tour of duty in a conflict zone. Or it could even be one of those aircraft which David Cameron, and MI6, are frantically trying to deny all knowledge of ;-)
You remind me of the dull rumble of heavy German bombers flying over our neighbourhood in WW11, and waiting in the shelters to hear if we were to get one.

someone published this the other night, fascinating ........
I'm reminded of the sound of trains all through the night on the main East Coast line in the build up to The Falklands War in 1982.
Chrissa by the link, the Geordie skies are very quiet the neet..:-)
Right Bobbi. I'm picking up my daughter at the airport tomorrow night. I'll have to check she's in the air before I leave. Lol.
did you open the link?
DT: That is a very interesting link and will keep me interested all day.
Neti posted in the other day, it's fascinating

you can track her flight tomorrow night
as we speak the Corfu flight is heading into Newcastle :-)
She'd be halfway home on foot if I waited to track it Bobbi. It's quite a drive from up here.
