Can anyone recommend a good MP3 player which is not of the ipod variety.

Preferably 512mb or 1g and reasonably priced.

I have scanned hundreds of sites, but wondered if anyone could recommend a decent one?

Cheers

You know what I meant ;-)

1GB !!!

Try planet Micro online.

Creative have a very wide range.

I got one off ebay - 256MB (about 7/8 albums), works also as a memory stick.  That cost 26 last year, so by now I imagine 512MB/1GB models won't cost much more.  Many come from the Far East, so take a week or two, but find a reputable seller and you'll be fine.
Why not iPod? The Shuffle is perfect, 1 gig and cheap. They're brilliant little devices, no reason to get anything else!

No, I don't work for Apple. : )

hahahahaha lol

yeah i was jokin.

no soz i dunno

My mate's got a Creative Muvo 512mb. His cost over 100 last year, but I think they've brought the price down recently to about 75. You're bound to get a better price than that online.

It really is tiny (he wears his on an armstrap for jogging), and the sound quality is excellent. Gets 5/5 in What Hi-Fi magazine.

Just another option!

Thanks guys,
Ive ordered a Creative Muvo 1gb. It comes with the armstrap so I'll be able to wear it in the gym!

The Apple i-pods I dont like the look of, they are too clunky and are expensive for what they really are. There are much cheaper versions of mp3s out there which have all the functionality of an ipod and more.
