CD/DVD Drive very slow

My CD/DVD drive has all of a sudden gone very slow for no reason. I have recently re-installed Windows & in the middle of transferring all my backed up filed from DVD to the hard drive, the speed just slowed right down for no reason. It is a TSSTcorp cd/dvdw HS-552L.

Anyone know what i can do to sort it cos nothing seems to work?

I haven`t come across this before, but have you checked the drivers in device manager. After a reinstall I`ve always had some drivers to reinstall, but never had a problem with DVD drive.
