Trying to track down a cool hip-hop tune

I've heard this record - once in a club in London and once on TV as backing music - and I really like it. It's a hip-hop type tune, by a male vocalist. This may seem like a lost cause, but the song is quite distinctive. It's starts with a regualar beat and as the song progresses the beat gets slowly faster and faster... only gradually... but faster and faster right through the song. By the end of the tune the guy is spitting out the rap with real pace and the beat is going like the clappers. And that's the best I can give you I'm afraid. Can't remember the lyrics - just the addictive tune. Can you help?!

Its not Dirty Beats by Roni Size is it?
Peace. There are 2 tracks I can think of that you mean... there's Nas ONE MIC.... or the track which I really believe you mean is by J-Live, an underground hip hop classic.

Nicci Cheeks - It's not "One Mic" - someone else has already suggested that. It might be this J-Live chap though - do you know the name of the song?

Just in case anyone ever reads this again - I found out the answer. The song in question is Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious. It is a short, but superbly clever tune. Track down a copy now. Cheers to "idlab" who gave me the answer right here on answerbank. www.thelovemanatee.com
I Believe The Answer U may Be Looking For Is Nas - One Mic. The Beat Starts Off Slow But Gradually Picks Up Towards The End With Nas Rapping Faster On It.
