Hi there,

I have a 18 inch crash cymbal with a small crack (approx 10mm) in the outside, working its way into the middle.

Does anyone know how and where I can get it lathed? I want to save the cymbal as it it a lovely sound.

I live in Enfield so anywhere local to there would be good.

Thanks in advance.

Lathed? How about you drill a small hole a few mm in front of the leading edge of the crack? (Use a magnifying glasss to see exactly where the crack presently ends.) The crack will eventually extend to the hole, but the hole will stop it getting any further. The cymbal sound will hardly be affected.
