Does anyone know of any easy to use mix software that is either v cheap or evn better; free?

I'm just looking for something that I can load a list of songs onto, then have it fade them into each other, so it can be put on a cd.
I've used a sample of Mixmeister, which was fairly simple, but I don't think it's worth 30.

As I say, the simpler, the better.
Any ideas appreciated.
Cheers

Cheers jedaber,
Yeah, I've tried Nero, unfrtunately it does not fade down / up, so it sounds a bit too clunky and abrupt. ta anyway.
