It was about two young men who wore masks they got from a joke shop.
One was a wolf (i cant remember the other but its in the title).
They drove round on a bike committing robberies.
I think the song had the same name as the band Big country but i am not sure ?.
Ah - that would be Local Hero.
Ah yes, that's the one.

I'd ignore the CD prices!!!!!!! Download it instead.
It's not Local Hero, it's Restless Natives
Question Author
the clown and the wolf man that was the title i remember.
Great band big country, sad that Stuart Adamson passed on.
I saw them in the late 80s supporting David Bowie at Roker Park - the one and only time I've ever been to Sunderland...

Thank you all for the replies x.

Were they any good as a live band in your opinion Mark?.
They were excellent. Obviously everybody was there to see Mr Jones, but Big Country did a great support set, as did The Screaming Blue Messiahs....
Question Author
I really would of loved to see them live. I think as a vocalist Stuart was one of the best to front a band in the 1980s, strong rich powerful voice,
easy on the eye as well.
Oh aye. I had a crush on him.
>I really would have loved to see them live.

I'm glad I did. There is a growing number of band that I will never now see live...

> easy on the eye as well.

I can't comment on that, having my earring in my left ear. However, my then girlfriend left me in no doubt that she very definitely would...
