I am currently under a suspended sentence order and am on probation and will be for the next year and a half. At no point have I been told that I am not allowed to travel abroad, it has not been set as any of the conditions of my probation and my passport has not been taken from me.
I wish to travel to Belgium in the next few weeks. Is it allowed for me to do so?
Thanks in advance

I'd like to try and find out if anyone knows the answer before I do that. Thanks though
You should be ok. My cousins in the same position and he's going on holiday. You have to speak to your probation officer first though.
If you have not been specifically prohibited from doing something as part of your order, then you may do it. You need to ensure that you do not miss any probation appointments. If you do because (say) you were stranded abroad, it could be held that you placed yourself in a position where you had a greater than usual chance of not being able to fulfil your committments. You could then be found to have broken your order and, in your case, the Suspended Sentence could be enacted.
Two standard uk conditions of probation are:
1. You live at an agreed address - thus you'd need to advise your probation officer.
2. You do not travel outwith the UK without permission.

You'll have paperwork advising you of this. Check with your solicitor or probation officer, or both.
