I have a Sony CD changer in my boot (model to fit my car, BMW 320 i), and I think I put something in my boot that hit one of the connector cables, there are 2 or 3 that go plug in to the side. The fascia unit now does not recognize the CD player as being present (just tapes and radio), and I cannot even eject the 10-CD cassette using the button on the actual changer. Urgh! The power plug seems busted, it won't come off. Any way to fix? It's out of warranty period now, and it's not BMW own make.

I also had a Sony 10 x CD player in the boot of my car & although I never had any real problems with it, it occassionally used to 'jump' if I went over a ramp, etc. I popped along to a local audio electrical shop, where a very nice man soon sorted out a loose wire. Failing that, a Halford inhouse fitter may be able to assist.
P.S. It didn't make any difference to the make of the CD player, which was in a Mercedes.
*occasionally
Correction - I had a Kenwood x 10 player - not a Sony!
