wipers not moving

i have a vauxhall corsa 04 plate. i put my wipers on and they move slowly, then stop. i then have to push them up for then to be push back down. any ideas what is wrong or how to fix them. please help :)

That is a seized linkage or a partly burned-out motor.
You decide.
Disconnect the linkage from the motor drive. If the linkage moves freely, then it is the motor.

arh ok, thanks. i was wondering if you know how much it would cost to get a new motor fitted including labour? thanks
