Smoking Transit....ideas?

I have a problem with a 1993 Transit 2.5 Diesel. It pushes out white spoke during warm up. It runs happily for 2/3 minutes then builds up oil pressure in the rocker cover which then goes into the breather/ manifold and then unburnt diesel fumes come out of the exhaust. After a further 2/3 mins it stops smoking and runs fine. It seems to be crankcase pressurisation but I can't see why ? Ideas?
