window fault

The driver's window on my 2003 renault megane wont close. Any ideas?

assuming its electric,first thing to do would be check the fuse if there is one.

If its not the fuse, probably the switch. Easy way to check is to prise the switch out (they normally just push fit, so you should be able to flip it out with a penknife or small screwdriver) then swap the drivers and passenger switches to see if it makes any difference. If not, probably the wiring has broke. This usually happens where the wires run through that rubber tube by the door hinge.

Is it actually electric windows? 

 

Has the window come out of its runner?

Thanks all...was traced to broken wire.
