R reg VW POLO just bought, some issues...

Just bought it today, so far on driving it ive found out that the Petrol gauge isnt working, so im not sure how much fuel is in... plus will the light come on if i do get low? Also, when coming to a stop, the revs drop to about 500 and sometimes its stalled whilst waiting at lights etc. if anyone has a solution to either could you let me know, it would be brilliant. love the car already, just need these tweeking out. cheers

Go to your local garage and put a tenners worth in the tank then check the Gauge, the petrol light WILL come up on your dash if the car is that low, take the car back to where you have bought it & let them sort out the tick over, this could be many many things.
