Cant answer your question but try googling Steam Engines. Prestonservices.co.uk has some fabulous items for sale, some renovated, some not. Also contact the National Steam Engines Trust, ntet.co.uk. The restoration and upkeep of these must cost a fortune. I have just been to the Essex Country Fair and the steam engine rally is the best bit. Even transporting then to a rally on a low loader must be expensive, even if you own a low loader.
