Hi, i posted a question last night about cleaning my egr valve. anyway, today, i cleaned it. i removed the egr valve (unscrewed the two torque screws and pulled off the sensor at the top), took it inside and cleaned it with some wynns carb and fuel injector cleaner which i was advised to do. anyway, i have put it back together and started it up and now the engine management light is permantly on and the car runs like crap, evrytime i change gear, it seems to judder then get going and the revs seem to be a bit higher than normal when idling. does anyone know why it is performing like this and how can i rectify it. i have a vauxhall corsa 1998 1.2 8v. before, it was cutting out now and again when the engine management light was on, so i had a diagnostics check done and they said it was the egr valve.

Thanks

Pete

With respect Peter, you should have left the thing alone, you may have to get it re coded.
