Do you think Barak Obama should say sorry for America finding an 'excuse' to invade Iraq?

I've just been listening to Desmond Tutu on the radio.

I wasn't suggesting he should ummmm, I was just canvassing opinion.

I'm of the opinion that he personally has done nothing wrong in the conflict as far as I'm aware, and the mere fact that America has elected him their president is a far more meaningful expression than him saying sorry.

Looks like we're all agreed except Desmond Tutu so far then.
Excuse!!!!!!

There was no invasion of Iraq!

America had, for years, tried to get Saddam Hussein to stop killing his own people by the hundreds, maybe thousands - every month! Sanctions, diplomacy, you name it. Nothing worked.

So they decided to put a stop to it. And rightly so. Only the Iraqi extremists say it was an invasion. They want Iraq back the way it was with woman out of every aspect of life, ie: education, voting, socialising. They want to run Iraq in their own perverted way, under the guise of religion. Notice no Iraqi woman are extremists.

And don't say America only wanted the oil! America has huge oil reserves in Alaska & South America. And anyway, any "conflict" America has ever been involved in - they have NEVER exploited or taken over any of that countries natural resource.

I hope America are considering helping the Zimbabwe people in the same way the helped Iraq.

Despots must be stopped!
