Dichlorodifluoromethane is nonflammable

It decomposes into some or all of carbonyl fluoride, chlorine, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide and phosgene depending on the temperature at the reaction point.

All the above are gases.

On contact with hot surfaces or flames this substance decomposes forming toxic and corrosive gases (hydrogen chloride, phosgene, hydrogen fluoride, carbonyl fluoride).
