Ive noticed a few times that when ive moved off my hand brake is still on, should that happen

sometimes if the car has been stood for a few day's or after heavy rain or washing,the handbrake can stick a bit then it will release this is not uncommon.
it may well be that the little swivel pin that connects the handbrake cable to the rear shoe (if it has shoes at the rear) is either starting to seize up or is clogged in brake dust

I park on a slope at home and the handbrake is fine at holding the car on the drive, its just when i move off with the handbrake still on
