What is the total stopping distance required between
vehicles travelling at 70mph

Is it:
a,24 car lengths
b,18 car lengths
c,13 car lengths

Thankyou Chris,I didn't have a clue I just drive but my friend asked me so I thought on answerbank someone would no.

unless you;re on the M25 - it's ab out half a bicycle then
Ignore ojread2. It's impossible to do 70mph on the M25.
It's all nonsense anyway, the last time these figures were worked out for the highway code was at least 50 years ago.

I think cars are slightly better at stopping now
