My little boy has just started at preschool today. He was more than happy for us to leave him (i dont want him upset but surely a few tears wouldnt be too much to ask) and he will be there til 5 or 6 tonight.

The house is so quiet without him here and it feels so starange.

Good job ive got plenty of work to occupy my afternoon, i hope the time flies by.

awww that'll be good for him wont it and gives you some time with the wee one (and your chores), did you shed a wee tear yourself?
believe me you will soon get used to that bit of freedom ;D

Bless red, my boy didn't care either. I was sobbing on my way back to car and he was running around like a fool having a good old time!

Don't worry about it being so quiet, you will get used to it and when you do, you'r little baby will soon fill the silence!!!

not as yet, Im putting a brave face on it. Itd be silly to have cried in front of all those kiddies, especially as he didnt seem at all bothered.

Hi red! Aww, all us mums have gone through it! Eventually you will learn to love the peace & quiet! For the moment it will seem like deathly silence & it's natural to want things the same as they always were xxx
Awww bless, and i know what you mean!

Mini Boo legs it as soon as I take her to nursery, and I'm lucky if I can grab her before she's off for a goodbye kiss. And when I go to collect her she looks at me as if to say "Oh God, you're here to pick me up already???"

God love em eh?
Question Author
youre right andrea, Amelia is just waking up so it wont be quiet for long pmsl

cazzz, its hardly freedom is it, but at least i can get things done without having to worry about him.
For me it wasn't school, it was a school trip, I went off abroad, I must have been......8? I remember my mum bawling her eyes out. Kinda made me feel sad about going.
I've been through this 3 times and each time was harder than the last.

With my middle son, I had to sit in the classroom with him and sneak out when he wasn't looking!!!

lol B00, i think little CRX will be just as mini B00. He really didnt care that we were going home and he was staying there.

awww Marg, that mustve been upsetting for you both.

Funnygirl, thats what i expected to do. I was going to sneak out and then sneak back in an hour to check he was OK. I dont need to bother as hes having a great time
I found when my kids started school that I didnt know what to do with myself!, I think its a lot easier to adjust when you know they love school and have a great time, if they are not happy I worry myself sick!!

my daughters just done her SATS and my boys have been really working hard, I cant wait for half term, they really need a break.
At least they were open today and thats really good that he was fine with you leaving him
Question Author

yes, its private preschool 4get, he doesnt get the free sessions until the term after hes 3 so for now the private ones are 1pm to 6pm but i can take him and collect him at any time (as long as i pay for full session)
Question Author
Jonah, I must admit that hes booked in throughout the summer as well, i didnt have heart to tell him that he wouldnt go in for 6 weeks once he got used to it.

I still get lots of time with him at home as well so we get the best of both worlds i guess.
yes, Im hoping to take them on some days out (zoo, parks, beach picnic)

I have also bought some garden toys, however my daughter although is only 11 she can sleep like a teenager!!
