engine testing

hey, just doing a lab report on engine performance testing. my question is: do they put EVERY engine they make on an engine dyno, or do they just put some on and assume the others will be the same?!

Hi, I would have thought they would do a test on each unit, I think it would be a time costing program to install each unit then find out there are problems.

Im sure they test a proportion....Say 1 in every 25 (dont Know the exact amount) if the test results are within What are acceptable then the production line continues.
