Can anyone enlighten me to the correct tappet clearances on a 1.8 turbo diesel, R reg ford escort? Bought haynes manual but doesnt have the diesel engine only zetec and ecotech stuff what a crock

yeah think i knew that but all i meant was it had all petrol equivelants but no diesel even tho there were several different diesel escorts. And Thanx Tommy.H

You bought the wrong manual. Yours will indicate on the front cover that it is for petrol models only. Haynes publish another manual for diesel models.
