Petrol in a deisel van

I've just put 30 quids worth of petrol in my deisel van. The tank was almost empty. Can I just fill the rest of the tank with deisel?

you would be wasting time and money you'll need to flush tje fuel line and tank out before you can use it
no, drain the tank first.
get a hose and drain the petrol out

get as much of the petrol out,then fill it up with diesel and you will be fine.but dont drive it on the petrol
you can drive with a mix of petrol / derv and it will be ok. not to much petrol though.
it use to be, diesel would freeze in the winter. to get around this you could say put 5 galls of derv in, then top up with 1 gall of petrol.
I've done that many times in taxi ( black cab ).
Did the same as you once. cab cut out a mile later. We saved the mixed fuel and each time we filled up after, added a can of it to the tank.
