Every time it rains really heavily, my car either doesn't start or takes its time starting. Its surely rain gettin in the distributor. Any ideas how to solve this?

wouldnt have thought it was the distibutor

modern cars with electronic engine management systems dont have them anymore even rover 111s

I had a rover metro that cut out every time it rained and refused to be restarted, and it was a loose positive battery lead.
