land rover freelander

HI all,

I'm thinking of buying a land rover freelander 05/04 plate diesel automatic. Are they as unreliable as everyone says? - i havent heard a good word abou their reliability so far.

any views?

hi jsk - if you've heard all those bad reports and no good reports - i think you'd be better off looking at something else - a toyota or a bm - still it's your choice good luck to you

TD4s not so bad but they're not Land Rovers finest hour

I believe the unreliability problems were centred around the petrol engined ones, with the k series engine

I had a freelander it was no problem at all except it used a lot of gas, in fact it was a v nice motor. I only got rod of it because my mother who is 84 couldn't get in it v easily. You get good a nd bad in all cars!
