Going to America shortly I would like to be able to read my e-mails from another computer.
I am using Thunderbird as my e-mail programme and not sure if this needs setting up.
Any advice appreciated.

Sorry - do you mean you are taking another computer with you, or using public internet?

Hi Ethel

Sorry if I was somewhat ambiguous!!
I shall be using my son`s PC - he lives is USA.

Does this make it easier to help me.
Thanks

That's much better!

In your Thunderbird access account settings and make a note of all the settings for each email address.

Then set up Thunderbird on your son's computer using the same details - it should be hassle free.

As a bit of extra information, I use gmail - it acts the same way as Thunderbird, fetching my email from 5 different email addresses - including my blueyonder email. The big advantage for me is it is web-based, so I can access my gmail account from any pc in the world at any time.
The other alternative is to buy a USB U3 key: http://www.u3.com/

You can then pick up your emails from ANY computer anywhere
Doesn't even need to be a U3 key - any suitably sized key will do, as there is a "Portable" version of Thunderbird.
