Just bought a VW Polo 2005 reg, its had its full 2 year service the dealer tells me. I dipped the oil & its BLACK I thought the oil had not been changed. I took it back to the dealers & they tell me a special blend was used & it is BLACK, Has anyone else come accross this BLACK oil too? Or are they pulling a fast one.?

ive just bought a micra and mine is black also and im wondering when the last service was as i have no recipts

Most oil is black once it's run in the engine for a short while. If it's a diesel the oil will be black within minutes.
