Whenever I am stuck in traffic, I find it really hard to get my freelander into first gear. It's as if the gearbox is broken. The temp gauge is below half, and it feels as though it ill cut out (though the rev counter doesn'y budge either) In the past year new clutch and head gasket......what do you reckon????
Once out of traffic and running freely, no problem with getting into first!

I would have suggested the clutch but youve covered that. A local Freelander is now on its 3rd box under warranty so it looks like it may be the box, these cars do seem to have a few problems, maybe Japanese next time?
