coloured number plates

Can anyone tell me why on British cars the front number plate on a car is white, but yellow on the back?

When your headlights pick up a parked car. the colour of the reflectors and number plate tell you which way it is facing,

If it is parked legally, so is facing the right way, it is then easier for you to know which side to pass it in the dark

Similarly when seeing moving vehicles anything white, be it lights or number plate, must be on a vehicle coming towards you.

That depends on your age, PanicButton. When you are a child, Dads know everything. When you reach your teens, Dads know nothing. When you are an adult, suddenly they know everything again.
