Timing belt

I run a 2000 W plate Diesel Vauxhall vectra, its done just over 72000 miles, how do i know when the timing belt need changing? Are there any signs?

It will tell you in your service manual. If you don't have one - call your local Vauxhall dealer and they will gladly tell you.
The only sign you will get is when your engine just stops and you have to pay out at least �1000 to get it going again.
Is it a 2.0 ? i thinks some of those have a timing chain instead of a belt - check this out first, refer to a haynes manual, if you dont have one try the library.
