Hi, does anyone have any idea how much a repair on the power-steering of a punto would cost? All I know is that its not working, and that the system is electrical. Is it a small repair, or the whole steering system? And any ball-park figures on cost? Thanks in advance :-)

I believe your steering has an electric motor that provides the power to the steering, so it could be something as small as a blown fuse or a faulty switch.Check your owners handbook for fuses and what they cover. If you need to take it to a garage, ask friends who they use or do they know a good auto electrician. Don't just drive into Fiat and ask them to fix it. As you can use the car without the power steering, take your time finding someone you can trust not to rip you off.
The power steering is a known week spot on these cars and no parts are availible so most likely to require a steerimg colum at about 400 plus fitting
