If a fax is sent to confirm a booking, but is unsigned, does this mean it is not binding?

a signature is the eivdence that a contract has been accepted, but it is not essential. if the fax confirms acceptance then it is potentially binding. (there are lots of other factors to consider in contract law, so i cannot say for definite whether this contract is binding on so little evidence, but a signature is not essential) :-)
