I have a 2003 Corsa C and under the centre console of the dash just above the ashtray there is a D-Type connector socket (like a monitor cable plug) Whats it for, and has anyone ever used it???

""Electrical accessory socket""

I wonder for what?
Mine is the elegance model and the manual doesn't mention it.
its for diagnostics / fault finding
Question Author
It's sunk back with a protective cap on it and quite hard to find, so can't have an everyday use
if its not meant for your use....then why is it classed as an 'additional interior feature'
Question Author
I thought the diagnostic computer was under the bonnet in the engine bay?
the computer part is, but most cars have a plug somewhere, glove boxes, fuse boxes, under ash trays where a diagnostic tool or a computer with diagnostics software can be plugged into
