towing with a transit?

Not sure if this is correct place to put this but.........can anyone give me a link to an official site which details towing weights/limits etc?? Not sure if when towing trailer with transit van it exceeds limits of weight or axles??

Look down the left for van search...Look up your van and you can find out gross payload and towing limits from here. It lists lots of transits from pre 2000 models. Hope you find your answer here.
Don't forget, if your van & trailer combination have a Gross Permissable weight of 3.5 tonnes or more (whether you load it to that limit or not) and you are using the combination for business, you require an operators licence and the van requires a tachograph.
google for VOSA and you will find on there web site the relevant and true information also get a spec book from the dealer if it is a current model i will be happy to help as i am a ford dealer with a transit specialist center.
