Lately I have noticed that when I turn the air conditioning on, in my Vauxhall Corsa C, there is a rather strange smell.

A work colleague has told me that this could be down to mildew forming somewhere in the pipes. He told me that a simply solution is to odourise my car.

Does anyone have a slightest clue about how to do this as I cannot imagine where to begin.

You can buy treatments for a smelly aircon from most accs shops, it is usually caused by under use of the aircon, also change the aircon filter.

Remember, with aircon, use it or loose it, if not used at regular intervals the seals can harden and cause leaks and smells.

Thanks Toureman. I've never actually used the aircon since I bought the car last October because of the weather.

But now that I know this I'll use it regularly instead of opting for opening the windows.
Also the aircon is very good for demisting all windows during the winter, works in seconds!
also increases fuel consumption and decreases power. That's worth taking into consideration also.
